Contact and Bookings

Bookings

Please contact Susan Davis with your requirements to receive a quote and to confirm bookings.  Bookings should be 1.5hrs minimum, with .5 hr increments after that. We strongly recommend a minimum of 2hrs, as when we have to leave after a 1.5hr booking the guests are often asking for more!

Most clients find our repertoire easily meets their wishes. If you have special musical requirements that are not within our current repertoire, there may be costs for sheet music , compositions or transcriptions.

Transport costs will be quoted where needed.

Weather Protection

Please ensure that we definitely have full shelter from cold, rain, sunlight and breezes.

Placement and Seating

A quartet needs 3 square metres, smaller ensembles less. We are usually unamplified, so should be within your guests’ earshot. A wall behind us will act as a ‘sound shell’.

A quartet needs four dining-height chairs without arms. If no cellist is playing in your chosen ensemble, no chairs are needed, except as a place to rest briefly.

Lighting

Lighting for all players should be enough to read by. Failing this, please warn us and provide access to a nearby power point.

Refreshment

Please provide water and soft drinks for the players. For bookings above 2hrs long or involving a long transit, we will discuss other refreshments with you.

Breaks

We will take short breaks of about 2 mins. between our pieces. If the booking is for 2 hrs or more, we will discuss slightly longer breaks with you.

Usually no Venue Meeting or Playing Time Changes

No meeting (other than by telephone) prior to the event is usually needed. If you wish for such a meeting or wedding rehearsal music, please clarify this and we will quote on the time required.

If you need to change our playing time after signing the contract, we will try and be accommodating, but can't guarantee our availability. In some cases we might need to play as a duet/trio for some of the new time. No fee changes can apply if this happens, as the musicians have organised their schedules around the original timeframe.
